Nanotechnology Fabric Imaging

NanoChromatic, Inc. has invented a new nanotechnology fabric, which has the effect of uniquely highlighting garment motion and garment curvature.

This technology is a fabric finishing process, meaning that it can be applied to fabrics already used in a particular application.

The nanometer features on our fabric create a shimmering effect by causing incident light to diffract and produce dynamic colors.

The shimmering effects highlight curvy parts of the body when a          garment of the fabric is worn, and the images change shape and color as the garment wearer moves or the light direction changes.

Our nanometer imaging technology can be applied to any continuous filament synthetic fabric, but we have had the best results with long float fabrics such as satin and Lycra swim wear.

Because our process imparts nanometer indentations only, the physical properties of the fabric remain largely unchanged including base color, washability, breathability, and flexibility.

Our process does not use dyes, laminates, or adhesives.

This new fabric “comes alive” as small motions create new vibrant and dynamic colors by merely reflecting ambient light in a very unique way. These new colors do not need to be present in the base fabric.

In addition to enhancing entire garments, the technology can be used to create shimmering logos, add-ons, and embellishments for sportswear, jackets, hats, and shoes.
